Reservations

You may reserve the kid(s) of your choice with a $50.00 deposit per kid. Address to send deposit and final check is KB Farms, 4708 Old State Road, Brandenburg, KY 40108.  Please make check out to Cheryl Burns. Your deposit will be refunded if the kid you ordered is not born or is not of the quality we wish to offer for sale.  You will receive a deposit confirmation via email or mail from us to confirm your reservation and we will update the web site with your reservation as well.  We give 20% discounts to 4-H and FFA purchases.

Completing the purchase

You will be notified of your kid’s birth as soon as possible and will have two weeks to respond with full payment. You will forfeit your deposit if we do not hear from you after two weeks. Once purchase has been completed, unless prior arrangements have been made, you have two weeks in which to pick up your kid if you are picking up from the farm. After two weeks a $3 per day boarding fee will be charged. This fee does not apply to animals being shipped or transported by a third party.

Shipping Information

 Kids can be picked up here at the farm, or if buyer is in central to eastern KY, arrangements can be made for a pickup point.   Kids will be shipped out of the Louisville International Airport. Below is shown the general cost of shipping by air, unless you are buying several medium to large kids, does or bucks, air transport is cheaper for kids. Third party transport is cheaper for large animals. Large animal transport will generally be made with Ron K. unless buyer has own preferences.

    F Health Papers generally will cost around $35.  There may be additional costs if your state requires additional testing that is not part of the general exam.  If shipping multiple kids, additional heath papers is $15.00   per kid.  Kids will be wormed and have received at least their first CDT vaccination.  Rabies vaccination (extra label use vaccine) is $10 extra. 

   F    Transportation to the mid west generally runs around $170 (CO, TX). I usually ship American Airlines. To estimate your shipping costs go to http://www.aacargo.com/shipping/rates.jhtml

   F   Insurance max is $1500, buyer is responsible for insurance if wanted. It will be added to cost of shipping

   F  Your Shipping crate can be mailed to me at buyers cost and I'll ship the kids in it, buyer can send me money to purchase a shipping crate, or I can use my own shipping crate. If we ship in our crate a crate deposit is required (varies depending upon size) and will be returned once crate is mailed back to us. Buyer pays for crate shipment back. UPS is generally cheapest for shipping crate back.

    Registration application will usually be sent separately (if the kid is young), along with a copy of the bill of sale.  Older kids and does may already be registered. In that case, the registration papers will be sent.  It is the buyer's responsibility to complete the registration process for kid received with registration application.
