Maggie is our only exception on purebreds. She came from a tremendous doe line of GCHs from one of our founding does. Maggie for whatever reason, hasn’t been out to a show except for the 97 Nationals since she was a two year old. She's come down with mastitis the past two years and we haven't shown her. She had a beautiful udder. She passed away in 2002 while carrying her 2nd set of quads. She was a tremendously strong doe, very wide throughout with great udder attachments, strong feet and legs. She was coded for open shoulders her last appraisal. Shown is the last picture of her taken during our 2000 LA. This is a very consistent doe line. Maggie's’ dam was a GCH, 8th place 4 year old at the 93
Nationals, with the INBA Gold award for butterfat and Silver for milk production in 1993 by INBA. Maggie’s dam was also the 13th Nubian in the nation for milk production for 1993 (3-10, 305 3450 140), and received the high production milk award from the North East Dairy Herd Improvement Association at the 1994 Nationals. Maggie’s dam placed 1XBUIS, 7XBOB, 5XGCH, 3XRCGH. Maggies’ half sister (Sandy Pecan) was also a GCH, fifth placed 3 year old at the 93 Nationals and 17th placed 4 year old at the 94 Nationals. This sister also received the Silver butter fat award and Bronze milk production awards from the INBA (2-08 305 3130 110). Maggie’s other half sister (Dappled Apple) was 9X1st as a milking yearling. Apple’s LA score was 87 with an E udder.
